The storm is now over Mindanao and will effect the entire island. The path of the storm has slightly changed farther to the south. This means that it is possible that Bacolod will not see the brunt of the storm.
All public and private elementary classes in Bacolod have been suspended. Some high school classes have been suspended as well, be sure to check with your students teacher to make sure!
The latest projection path of Typhoon Pablo is directly above Bacolod City and is likely to be directly above the city on Tuesday with major storms happening from Monday to Wednesday.
The storm is now classified as a category four and has rainfall of 20 to 30 mm per hour and will likely cause floods and mudslides throughout the areas. However, since the storm will have already made landfall before hitting Negros Island, it will likely lower in strength before then.
Nonetheless, everyone should take precautions and not go onto boats and be in safe areas during the storm. Plan all shopping events for tonight or after the storm has ended.
